Descripción
- The compact 70mm Type 92 infantry gun, much like a mortar, was used to provide immediate support to the Naval Landing forces during their operations ashore
- It was light and easily kept pace with the advancing naval infantry and was small enough it could be moved and deployed in the rough terrain of the Pacific islands
